Her approach is human-centered, focusing on each client’s unique needs and their ability to practice resilience. Working with individuals of all ages, Shamim uses solution focused and cognitive behavioral therapy interventions. With more than 20 years of experience, she works with clients on a wide range of issues, working with families and couples to improve their relationships. Her expertise includes adoption and fostering issues, youth transitions to independent living, counseling with families and teens in crisis, and crisis intervention for substance abuse and mental health concerns.
Credentials: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
