Teens who may be experiencing maladaptive, unsafe and unhealthy coping, patterns of unstable relationships, impulsive and possibly risky behaviors, and emotional upheaval will benefit from this group by developing mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness skills. Research has shown this group to be especially beneficial to those with issues involving substance dependence, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), eating disorders, Borderline Personality Disorder, and suicidal ideations.
